Participants will explore the many facets of a curriculum in the early childhood setting. Participants will gain an understanding of what is meant by the term developmentally appropriate practice, and how these principles guide best practices in early childhood education. Participants will develop a deep understanding of what is meant by the term curriculum and the components of any high-quality curriculum. This is a 4-hour course worth 0.4 CEU's.
This course can be utilized to meet the training requirements to earn or renew your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Course content is aligned with the CDA Subject Area 7: Observing and recording children’s behavior.
