    This course prepares teachers to use the Piramide Approach to enhance their current curriculum. Piramide helps teachers become more intentional as they promote young children's deeper thinking and learning. Teachers will gain an understanding of the four cornerstones of Piramide that create a balanced approach to the initiative of the child and the initiative of the teacher: nearness (i.e. familiar and concrete) experiences and distance (i.e. unfamiliar and abstract) experiences of deeper and broader thinking. The Foundations of PIramide online course is delivered in four self-guided online sessions. While each session is self-paced, we estimate that each session involves approximately five hours. We recommend that you complete a session over the course of a week and then take a week to practice the Piramide concepts in your classroom before begining the next session. Continuing Education Units (CEU's) are based on 20 hours of study. This is a 20 hour course worth 2.0 CEU's. Course is Approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in All 50 States Course is also Approved for Early Childhood State Training Hours in the Following States : Arizona, Delaware, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.
